PARENT CONNECT INSTRUCTIONS
Parent Connect is current for the previous day(s),
not "up to the minute" information.
- Log on to NorthernValleySchool District website at:
- After you "Enter" you can click on the apple that says "Parent Connect"
- You are a "registered user".
- Enter your User Name (all capital letters)
- Enter your Password (all capital letters)
- You should now see the following screen:
To change your password:Click on "Settings" (upper right hand corner, yellow bar). You can now type in your new password and/or change your e-mail address.
To receive automatic e-mails regarding attendance information: Click on "Settings" on the upper right hand corner, and check any of the boxes of information you would like to automatically receive. Once again, this information is one day behind.
The center of the screen (under the purple bar) will tell you when Parent Connect was last updated, usually be between 2:00 and 5:00 a.m. each day. If you would notice that it has not updated for a day or so, please call and let us know. Please Note: Teachers will have the grades inputted as up-to-date as possible on every Monday by 4:00PM.
Each "group" above is a different student if you have more than one child. From this screen you can either click on the pencils to the left or the underlined categories in blue or purple.
From each category you will be able to obtain attendance, assignments, grades, school info., student info., etc.
The "Grade" category is for the "Report Card" grade, not daily scores.
To obtain information on individual class grades for assignments and tests click on "Assignments" you will see this screen:
From here, click on the "Schedule" bar and you will see this screen:
The 3rd column shows your child's' current grade in each class.
If you click on the individual grade you will see the scores he/she received on each assignment, quiz, test, etc.
Also, you can click on the teachers' name and it will automatically go to that person's e-mail address so that you can send him/her an e-mail with any questions or comments about the class or your child.
If you have more than one child, you can toggle between them from the drop down arrow on the upper left hand corner on any of the categories. You may also see your child's picture above their name.
