NVHS VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION

November 12th was the day USD 212 honored the area veterans for the sacrifices they made for our country. Monica Wilson and the members of KAYS, Pat David and her music classes, and the yearbook students are all to be commended for their hard work and planning for this years activities. Special guest speaker Mark Johnson spoke of how fortunate we are to be able to get a drink of water from the fountain, something that some parts of the world are not able to do. He gave examples of people from our great state went on to be president of the United States, serving in the Congress, pioneers in computers, aviation, or whatever paths they wanted to take because of the sacrifices made by former military personnel. He advised the district students to set high goals, surround yourselves with good quality personnel, and work to encourage those around you to work together as a team

Members of the community, as well as some of the school students from Alma gather to honor the area veterans. After the program, the honored guests were invited to eat at our school.
