Last time I focused on the sixth grade and this time around it is the seventh graders’ turn. This is a large, creative, intelligent, and at times, loud group. My time with them goes by quickly. They have so much energy and are a lot of fun. On the day we wrote this, five were gone to Scholar’s Bowl. They did well and earned first place. The rest of the class divided up into two groups and wrote their contributions. Enjoy their thoughts.
We can’t believe that school is almost over. We hope that the end of school comes faster though. Last year was extremely slow and boring. This nine weeks we have been to a band and vocal clinic. That was……interesting. This year track will be fun. We have some new people coming out for track, Philip Rupp, though some of us aren’t going out. It should be really fun. Some of our 7th graders, including Carson, have been going to something called a Scholar’s Bowl. The scholar bowl people say that it’s been a very good experience. Today we are going to Almena for a high school pep rally. Spring Break is coming up soon (Hallelujah). We don’t have school this Friday. We have had state assessments in reading. We don’t really like them, but we all met standard or placed higher!!! We do have birthdays this month including Kortney’s and Carson’s. This year has been extremely busy, and we can’t wait for next year. YO, this was the funky seventh grade coming to you live from Northern Valley Junior High. Over and out, see y’all later. By Carson Montgomery, Khrissannna VanPatten, Philip Rupp, Phillip and Alyssa Bryant, Morgan Hawks, and Kortney Cunningham.
Hi from Tea, Makayla, Gabriel, Clint, Matt, Brant, and Tony. This is the all girl group, except for Tony. Just Kidding!! Lately we’ve been writing opinion papers on how we feel about big and small things. While we’re working on those, we have been taking state assessments in reading. Our whole class met standard or higher. Yeah, we know we rock. In preparation for our testing we had an academic pep rally. The 7th grade had the best skit. Today we had some 7th and 8th graders go to Damar for a scholar’s bowl. We hope that we can get first. We band kids want to mention that we rocked at the Band Clinic. We have to leave now because the boys in our group are being weird. So bye! Oh, this group is Mrs. Griffiths’ most awesome kids. P.S. She also loves us.
Yes, I do love all of them. The 7th graders representing our school at this scholar bowl was Ame Baird, Tommy Hanes, Macy Kasson, Kobie Unterseher, and Stewart Whitney.
