Northern Valley 6th & 7th Grade Boys are Co - Champions at Norton Meet

        Northern Valley Jr. High track team competed in the Norton meet on April 8.  There were 8 schools at this meet.  The 6^th & 7^th grade boys tied for first place with Phillipsburg scoring 88 points.  The NV 6^th & 7^th grade girls placed 3^rd, while the NV 8^th grade boys placed 6^th.  7^th grader Phillip Bryant won four gold medals setting a Northern Valley School Record in the Long Jump (17’ 8 ½”).  6^th grader Kirsten Burger won two gold medals in the 800m (2:47) and 1600m (6:09).  Her times in these events were Northern Valley 6^th grade records.  It was a nice day for our first track meet and we are very proud of all our athletes’ performances.
