Advanced Foods Class Hosts Staff Breakfast

On Monday, the Advanced Foods class began a unit on Event Planning. We explored all aspects of planning an event including: invitations, budgeting, planning a menu, shopping, selecting a venue, decorating, and creating a task timeline. We then applied what we had learned and made preparations for hosting a breakfast for all High School Staff.
After a week of preparation, the students all showed up bright and early to prepare the breakfast on Friday morning. The menu consisted of: pancakes, breakfast casserole, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee. The students enjoyed the whole process. Kelsey commented, “I liked watching the teachers enjoy the food we had prepared and make positive comments about it.”
