The morning of Saturday, March 6th, the Northern Valley Forensic students made their way to Atwood for the Rawlins County Forensics tournament. There were eight kids that ventured west on this particular day. Those students were: Bryant Tharman, Daniel Field, Patience Coffman, Tyson Callaway, Samuel Field, Alex Tharman, Morgan Black, and Haley Graham.
The Long Island cooks (Irma and Launa) once again supplied us with an abundance of wonderful cookies. Michelle Tharman drove the second suburban and judged all three preliminary rounds and the final round. If you would be interested in doing this, please let me know. We have to supply one to two judges every meet and I may possibly need three for the League meet on April 7th in Palco.
With the fewer number of students, we did not earn many team points, but we did have three students make it in to the finals. Here are there events and placings: Daniel – Extemporaneous (6th place), Alex – Humorous Solo (4th place), and Patience – Serious Solo (3rd place).
Congratulations to all the students. Our next meet is March 11th in Colby. It starts at 1:30 PM with two preliminary rounds and then the final. Please come and cheer on your our young men and women as they put forth great energy and enthusiasm. And remember …. If you think your life has drama …. then you know what we are talking about. :-)
