NV vs Stockton--Boys

On February 8th in Almena, the Huskies hosted the Stockton Tigers on a rare Monday night.  Straight off a second place finish in the WKLL league  championship, the Huskies continued to play some good basketball.  After leading by two after one quarter the Huskies extended their lead 28-19 by halftime.  Leading by five going into the last quarter of play both teams heated up from behind the arch in which 9 trey’s were made.  But the Huskies made just enough baskets and free throws to pull out a 60-58 win.  Colton Bailey had a high game for the Huskies controlling the paint by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds.
My guys played another good game in which we had to battle to the end.  We were without Tharen Cox(6’3 center) for a bruised tailbone but Colton played his butt off.  We shot 45% from the arch which helped but we were only 5/13 form the free throw line in which we could have put the game away, but a great win that makes us 8-8.
