Sub-State Basketball Information

February 25th- March 6th

Sub-state basketball is being conducted in a different manner this year. To help get everyone on the same page we have included a few pieces of information that are pertinent.

Brackets are on the second page

• Ticket prices will be $7 for each seat. You will pay for the ticket at the game. There is no student ticket price.

• Each basketball participant will be given four tickets. The tickets used during regular season are not acceptable for post-season. Your child will be given new tickets for these games.

• Each site is going with 50% capacity, per KSHSAA guidelines. There will be extra tickets available on a first come, first serve basis.

• For the girls game at Logan on Thursday, there will be fifty-six extra tickets. Please contact Amy McKinney (amckinney@nvhuskies.org) to reserve your tickets and arrange for pick-up.

• For the boys game on Friday at Almena, the tickets will be at the door, first come first serve.

• There will be two sessions at Golden Plains on Thursday (4th), Friday(5th) and Saturday (6th). Game times for these dates will be 5:30 and 8:00. Separate admission will be required for each session. Gyms will be cleared after the first game, cleaned, sanitized and prepared for the 2nd game. This will allow us to have the maximum number of people from each school attend a contest.

• Fans are not permitted on site until 5:00 PM for 5:30 PM games and 7:30 PM for 8:00 PM games.

We will follow the risk mitigation protocols put together by KSHSAA’sSports Medicine Advisory Committee and other health professionals during the tournaments. Our top priority is the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, officials, spectators and their families. Our goal is to give the players the opportunity to play and have a postseason tournament.

• Masks/face coverings are required to be worn properly by everyone in the facility other than the 5 players on the court and the officials working the contest.

• Please sit with your family group.

• In order for our kids to be able to continue playing, it is vital that everyone follows these rules. KSHSAA has explicited stated that post-season play can be taken away when people do not wear their masks.
