10.5 - Huskies Head out West. The Huskies lost to Weskan in our trip out west. They fought a tough-hitting Coyote squad and were able to come away with several lead changes and a great number of aces. But the Coyotes were the better passers helping set up their team with a great amount of hitting. The Huskies fought hard and dug the ball we just weren't able to put it to the floor as much as Weskan. With just 1 more regular game before we enter the league tournament, we are going to be looking for that focus and fight. B-Team - Lost 13-25,11-25 A - Team - Lost 10-25, 21-25 Stats: Aces- Josie Nech 4, Haedyn Cox 2, Rene Horacek 1 Kills- Haedyn Cox 5, Josie Nech 2, Kaylee Miller 2, Rene Horacek 1 Assists- Rene Horacek 4, Haedyn Cox 3 Digs- Haedyn 3, Rene 2, Josie 2 Serve Receive (again getting as close to 3 is the best passing average)-- Haedyn 2.26, Josie 1.36, Rene 1.3

9.28 - The Huskies get a Win!!! Vs. Triplains / Brewster With great amounts of effort and focus the Middle School Huskies finally got their first win. The fight they had the week before paid off and they dialed in on passing and serving to beat the Titans from Triplains/Brewster. The A team had to fight the entire game but nothing spoke to their focus like the last 6 points. The girls were down 24-19 got a side out and then Rene Horacek was able to serve 6 straight for the Win! 3 of Rene's last 6 serves were aces and the rest of the Huskies battled to win. With Game Point on the line, the Huskies truly believed that they could do it! The same amount of fight and courage were present in the B Team and C team matches. The B-Team was able to win the second set of their match 30-28! We were all filled with joy and even some tears! The coaching staff looks forward to what the rest of the season looks like with this level of Grit and Finish! C- Team - Lost 14-25 B - Team - Lost 7-25, 30-28, 18-20 - Seriously what a fight!!! High School Football game for Homecoming! We had a really good opponent in Ingalls this week, as they scored 106 points in there first two games. We moved the ball well all night, but turned the ball over on downs near our goal line early in the game. This gave them momentum & left us behind 16 to 18 at halftime. We made some adjustments at halftime mainly in our run game and came out running the ball well in the second half. Nolan Kinderkencht led the team with 118 rushing yds. and Jeremiah Hansen netted 106 rushing yds. Our passing game improved this week and Kenton Thalheim threw for 2 TDs and caught 1 TD. On defense, we struggled early, but played better in the 2nd half against a very talented offense. The main key was causing 4 turnovers, 3 of those in the 2nd Half. Kenton Thalheim and Gavin Thalheim both had 14 total tackles, Jason Cox had 13 total tackles and Peyton David had 11 total tackles. Overall, it was a great win for the team with it being Homecoming. The win moves us to 3-0 and sets up a big game next week at Cheylin who also comes in undefeated and highly rated. Thank you to the fans that attended!
